Please remember the children, teachers, parents, police officers, medical personel, religious that are there in your prayers. This is a hard time not only in Newtown, but in our nation-even the world. Also please pray that peace comes to our world.
PSALM 23
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.

He restoreth my soul; he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

I had worked for a weekly newspaper in Newtown Conn during the mid 1980s, so its a well to do area and historic as well.
That's what I first thought when I first heard about this shooting today Marilyn comparing the Amish shooting to this one, and sadly without being able to control someone's mind I dont think that we can really ever stop something like this from happening again.
I do think that school security will definitely tighten-up because of this tragedy as it has been done with the other shootings in our history, and I really wish that we had the power to bring someone back after something like this, for a second chance at living. Richard
In Omaha, we had a shooting at our High School, we lost an assistance principal and principal was shot. It is so so horrible, and you say to yourself, how can it happen here. My prayers are with the families and so it was in PA.
I know schools now have it so they know in the office who is coming in and you have to go straight to the office. The problem is like in the morning or at schools end when the children are all coming in or going out. Someone could sneak in there-no matter how many cameras they have. When I went to the school to sub-I use to have to show ID, but I've been there so long, they know who I am now. Thank you for stopping Richard and ga447.
