That you Teresa for these beautiful pictures of the auction. Teresa told me she took over 300 pictures of the auction-these are just a few of them. It is so kind of you, Teresa, to share them with us.

Hi Paula, I would love to know where they are, too. I hope when the weather gets better in New York that I can find out where some of them are. Guess we both have to do some research.
Very nice pictures. Thank you Teresa for posting them. There is an Amish Relief Auction in Cherry Creek NY. I'm not sure if it's every year or every other year, but last year it was held on May 26th. The money raised is used to pay for the hospital bills owed by the Conewango Valley New York Community. I've been to it a few times and it's a very large auction. If you google NY Amish Relief Auction you'll get more info. I don't see one listed for 2013, so maybe it's only every other year. ~Doreen
Great Post! Amish auctions are held in my area often during the warm months. Watch the local papers in your area or the internet for auction listings to see where they may be held. Thanks for your interest in the pictures.
Hi Doreen, On June 15th there is going to be an Amish, Mennonite auction in Penn Yan at the fairgounds on NY 14. The funds from this auction goes to Haiti. I have never been there-missed it every year. I am planning on going this year. Must get the map out and see how to get on NY14. I know how to get to go to Penn Yan but I always use 5 and 20. I'll find it and anyway I am sure they will have signs. Marilyn
Glad you like your post, Teresa. We will be getting more auctions usually starting in April and go through October. I hope I can find some Amish and Mennonite ones. I never thought looking on the internet-that's a great idea.
Just messing around on the computer and found another auction coming up on April 27th. It is Yoder Amish Spring Consignment Auction on Little John Rd., in Belfast, NY. I have been there, but can't remember where Belfast, NY is. It's been a long time since I've been to Belfast. It's in Allegancy County I know that.
I found where Belfast is on the map. Also, I am looking for a home that has a big Amish dinner each year. I believe their money goes for their school. If my memory is correct they live in Clyde, NY. If anyone knows about it, I would appreciate it as I would like to go. There is also one in Chautauqua county too, but that is a bit far from me. But, in the fall it would be a nice drive. Clyde is in Wayne County near where I live. Thank you, Marilyn
Hi Marilyn & Teresa, Thank you for the pictures of the Amish auction in Indiana. Next weekend I am planning to go Lancaster County PA Amish Country where they have Amish Mud Sales sponsored by the local fire departments during the months of March & April. If anyone would like more info, go on PA Dutch Lancaster and click on Mud Sales. I would also be interested in visiting the NY Amish communities when spring finally gets here!
Hi Maureen, Glad you liked Teresa's pictures. I should set up something that tells when the auctions are so people can go see them. I don't know when they all are, but if everyone could add ones then knew about. Maybe one day a week, I could put a list of the auctions on if someone wanted to go to one. I would like to go to an Amish Mud sale. In the Spring we also have Farmers Markets that Amish and Mennonites sell at. Penn Yan has the Windmill every Friday and Saturday. Anyone can sell there, but many are Amish and Mennonite. Marilyn
Hi Marilyn Great idea to list Amish auctions. Another way to find out about these auctions is subscribing to The Budget Newspaper which is a weekly newspaper about all the Amish/Mennonite communities in the US as well as abroad. I look forward to your daily posts and just wanted to let you know that you and your Mennonite friends are doing a great job!!!!
Hello Maureen, Thank you for the compliments. I really like the The Budget Newspaper, but I believe the price is $40.00 or $45.00 a year and, at this time, I can't afford that. I use to get it from a friend of mine that subscribed to it and we split the cost, but they don't subscribe anymore. I liked to read what the goings on were with all the different areas especially in New York State. If I can afford it again, I would subscribe to it. Thank you for telling us. Marilyn
