THIS AND THAT PICTURES
Sometimes I have a this and that. I have pictures I want you to see, but they aren't enough of them to put on a post. So here is one of my this and that days. The top two pictures of buildings I saw while driving around in Lyons area. As I was driving on a back road the birds in the third were right in the middle of the road. When I honked the horn, they moved over to the side of the road where I took the picture. Next is a farm scene on the back roads of Lyons. Next is an unusual house, I saw on the same back road of the previous pictures. The last picture I took of an Amish house in Galen. They have the pumpkins for sale. I think I have a few more of this and that - that I will put on. Hope you enjoy my this and that.

Good Morning Marilyn. Oh how I wish I had unlimited money and could rescue the brick home that has seen better days. Always makes me sad to see a house like that. If the 4 walls could talk what story would they tell? Cathy in Webster
Good Morning Cathy,
That brick house is beautiful. I felt kind of sad about it and took it's picture. Like you, I wonder what a story it would have to tell.

Funny Cathy should comment on this too. It is just what I was going to say. It makes me so sad to see those two homes crumbling away. I love old homes very much. :)
Good Morning Vickie,
I love old houses, too. Like Cathy said, if I had the money I would like to take one and restore it to live in.

Very nice pictures. What a huge amount of chopped wood is in the picture with the tractor.
Doreen
Good Morning Doreen,
Glad you like the pictures. They must want to make sure they have enough wood for winter. That is a lot of wood.

Neat "This+Thats"! No matter what the structure, when found in disarray, I should think any one would be most curious as to it's history. Also, how much better+easier it would be to properly maintain a property in the first place, rather than abandoning it to the elements etc? Restoration is extremely costly and I guess one would need to be independently wealthy to take on such a project. Oh well, in our dreams! Take care, blessings, Carol
Hi Carol,
We like to dream that we would get the money to repair and live in a house like that. There is a house in our town that if I had the money, that's the one I would want. Oh well. Glad you liked This and That. I will do it once in a while as I get things to put on every now and again.
Blessings to you and yours,
Marilyn
