Hi Everyone,
Mom told you about the dog down the street biting me. First, I would like to thank you all for your prayers and well wishing. Your prayers are working as I am healing up slow but sure. I still like to lick the spot even though Mom puts stuff on it. I had to take pills, but they made me sick so Mom had to take me back to the vet to get a shot. I didn't like the shot, but was a good boy, anyway.
I wanted to show a picture of the bite, but Mom didn't think that was a good idea. She said she didn't want me to upset your tummy when you saw it.. One good thing though, is Mom took me to a new vet that was closer to our home than the one we previously went to. I liked our previous vet, but I like the new one, too. Of course both our previous vet and new one vet are ladies and I prefer a lady vet rather than a man. I guess I am a ladies man.
Mom got really upset with the man that owned the dog that bit me. He has two other dogs and one of them had bit Rickie, my Mom's dog before me. Now, another of his dogs bit me. We have a leash law in our village, but he lets his dogs run free. People were telling Mom to go to court, and Mom thought about it. Mom was really upset !!!!!
Finally Mom calmed down and took the two bills over to the man that owned the dogs. She calmly spoke to him and explained what happened. He didn't believe her, but Mom said she had two witnesses that saw the whole thing. She said people wanted her to sue him, but we lived in a neighborhood and we all had to get along. In the end, he gave Mom the money for the vet bills and a little extra. Mom took the money to the bank because she had to pay CareCredit as that is what she charged the vet bills on.
She also told the man how we go out of our way to avoid his dogs. He leaves for work at 10:30 PM, so Mom doesn't walk me for bed until after he leaves. In the morning he comes home at 7:30 AM so Mom either walks me before he gets home or makes me wait for a hour after he gets home so he can let his dogs out, walks them and get them back in before I go out. The rest of the time, Mom has to be careful when she walks me so we don't run into them.
I just wanted to give you a progress report and let you know how I was doing. Again, I thank you all for your prayers and thoughts.
Love,
Pierre

Good Morning Everyone,
I, too, want to thank you all for the prayers and thoughts you gave Pierre through his hard time. He is getting much better. I am so glad he is getting back to himself again.

So extremely disappointing that this owner is like this. And did not want to pay you either. I am glad he did. Can you not walk a different way?
Good Morning Vickie,
You really can't go a different way sometimes because he lets them lose and you don't see them. Sometimes he sends them behind our building and sometimes in the front. How I got it last time was we went the front way and they went the back way. Mom thought they were inside. All of a sudden the dog came up behind us and attacked me. We never saw her coming or heard her. I am afraid to go out and so is Mom. I just go, do my business and get back inside.
Love to Mabel and Henry,
Pierre
I am glad to hear that Pierre is doing better. It is really unfortunate that you have such a careless, oblivious neighbor. When you approached him about the incident, I think it was smart of you to emphasize that you all live in a community and need to get along. You gave him a chance to be a decent human being, and he took it. Maybe he's not such a bad guy after all, just negligent. Good luck in the future with him. I hope you and Pierre never run into his dogs again!
Stacy
Good Morning Stacy,
Thank you for your well wishes. I hope we never run into dogs again. Poor, Pierre this is the third time he has run into mean dogs. This is the only time he got bit.
Love,
Marilyn and Pierre
I'd like to join in on the good wishes for Pierre. So hard to see how people can be so thoughtless, almost wrote mean. And maybe that's really what that dog owner is. Hope your thoughtful conversation with him stays in his heart.
It's just not right that you and your pet should have to have this fear. Best wishes.
Mary
Good Morning Mary,
Thank you for Pierre's good wishes. I agree with you one hundred percent. It's just not right that Pierre or the other dogs that live here have to fear when they go outside.
Best Wishes to you and yours,
Marilyn and Pierre
I'm very glad to hear that you're doing better Pierre, and thank you for the update.
Doreen
Good Morning Doreen,
Thank you for the well wishes. I am feeling better. You are welcome for the up date.
Love,
Pierre
I'm very glad to hear you are doing better, Pierre. It's bad enough you were attacked, but I worry next time it will be someone's child and they may end up maimed for life or worse.
I think the appropriate authorities should know what is going on and steps taken to make sure he stops allowing his dogs to run free before something worse does happen.
I hope the rest of your recovery goes very quickly!
Hello Willow's Quiet Corner,
Thank you for my recovery wishes. My Mom thought about a child, too or even an adult.
The authorities know what is happening, but they say you have to go to court before they can do anything. This upsets Mom and myself.
Again, thank you,
Pierre and Marilyn
Hello Everyone,
Sometimes things are in your own back yard and you don't think of them. I wanted some pictures for on here, but I couldn't think of what to take. When Grandmother Olive called in her post, she mentioned something that I have right here. So I went and took pictures. Part of it will be on Thursday.
Marilyn
blessings for healing for Pierre!
I understand Totally about neighbors who let their dogs run loose, we all lose when that happens.
Hi Annie,
You are right.
Marilyn
I am so sorry Pierre got bitten. You handled the situation so well, Marilyn. I just wish the authorities would do something about the off-leash dogs, without having to go to court. Having to live in fear is not right for Pierre or you. God bless you both.
Hi Rosemary,
I agree with your completely. Pierre and I are scared - we are always looking around when out. He just does his business and gets right back in. I wish they would do something, too.
God Bless you, too,
Marilyn and Pierre
