Do you go to the stores? Do you stay home and bake? Do you visit friends and/or family? What do you do on Black Friday?
I use to go to the stores on Black Friday, but those days are over. Don't like going through all the crowds - if I can even find a place to park in the parking lot. Depending on the weather, I may drive around and take pictures for here instead. If the weather is bad, I will stay home, do laundry and put items to sell on etsy.
So tell us what are you going to do today ????

I can tell you what I DON"T DO...I don't shop!
I do not shop either. I will be home doing needlework.
Good Morning Marilyn, I have only gone shopping on Black Friday, once at Kohl's, and that was enough for me to never do it again. There is nothing I need so badly that I would ever be willing to stand in those long lines and fight the crowds again. I take this time to decorate my home and just relax with my husband. Cathy in Webster
Good Morning Tom,
Anything but shop today, I agree.
Marilyn
Good Morning Vickie,
I agree with you. No shop today. Oh, your needlework is beautiful.
Hugs to Mable, Henry and Murphy,
Marilyn and Pierre
Just like Cathy from Webster, I choose to decorate for the Christmas season on these days following Thanksgiving. Whatever you all do, enjoy it! Chris
Good Morning Cathy,
My days of standing in lines and fighting in crowds are over, too. Decorating your home and relaxing with your husband are better and safer.

Good Morning Chris,
Decorating is fun after Thanksgiving. I was driving around on the way home from my friend's house last night and several people in our town already have their Christmas lights up, already. My Dad use to put the Christmas tree up the day after Thanksgiving. Hope you enjoy doing it.

Good morning, Marilyn. No shopping for me. I may go tomorrow to support small businesses, but only to a couple of fabric shops. I will spend the day hanging out with family, working on my crochet project. I only have a few more skeins and then I move back to my cross stitch!
Good Morning Angela,
I am glad you go and support the local businesses. I use to own a store and on Black Friday, the stores in our town were empty. It didn't matter if we had a big sale, we got very few if any customers. Even now, like you, I support our local businesses, first. We learned to hold our sales next Friday - a week after Black Friday - then the customers would come. Being with family and working on crochet and cross stitch, to me, is better than fighting those crowds.

I usually just go to Half Price Bookstore. They give a $5 gift card to the first 100 people. Everything is then 20% off the whole day. I'm a bookworm. This year I stayed in. Just relaxed this morning and got bits and pieces done.
Hi Lily,
That is a deal with the Half Price Bookstore !!!!! I am a bookworm, too. Wish we had a place like that here, then I might go out on Black Friday for that. Glad you relaxed and got some pieces done.

I'm not a shopper, especially at this time of year. I spend every day with my husband at the nursing home. We are having lots of rain today.

No shopping for me, I am doing needlework.
Hi Jodie,
Spending time with your husband is what counts. It is raining a bit here today. We are suppose to get more tomorrow.

Hi Gisela,
You are doing the same thing Vickie is doing home today !! Not many on here go shopping on Black Friday.

I have never shopped on Black Friday and I'd say at my age, I won't be starting now. (; I baked cookies today, tarts, made a Chex mix and will putting homemade chicken noodle soup in a big crockpot before bedtime. My siblings and families have a get together tomorrow, this time every year, and I will be traveling for that. Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving and has a good weekend.
Hi dynnamae n,
You sure have been busy today !! I use to shop on Black Friday, but haven't for years. Guess age caught up with me. Enjoy your get together. Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving and have a good weekend, too.

Good question, Marilyn. No Black Friday shopping for me. I may go to the grocery store (not Wal-mart or other big box grocers). Publix, Bi-Lo and Piggly Wiggly are deserted. Like you and the other posters, I have no desire to get in that mess. In fact, I'd rather shop on-line. Carol in SC
Hi Carol,
Grocery stores have lots of room in there on Black Friday. I don't like going through that mess either in other stores. Shopping on line is a big business now. I sold a few things on Black Friday. Also bought a few things on Black Friday for Christmas gifts. LOL
