Michael and I were on the back roads when we came across these buildings. There is kind of a long story but, first, the buildings are right by the railroad. Second, there was a fire in the house. No one did anything to repair the house and no one could live in it. Slowly it went in worse disrepair. Finally, the town and railroad company decided the house, barn, and out buildings had to come down. Sad, but true,

Every now and then I go down a farm road or old road and see buildings like this. Just falling apart, piece by piece. You wonder the story behind them.
Hope you are feeling better.

Marilyn, last year I read about the property, what a mess.
Saddens me to see old buildings falling into a state of disrepair and then eventually either totally collapsing or being torn down. So many barns have been lost. It will be a sad day when the only barns one will see will be in books. Glad to see you are getting out Marilyn. Hope all is going well. Cathy in Webster
Hi Folks,
It is sad to see old houses and barns falling apart or being torn down. As Tom said, this property was really a mess.
