I went over to the Gorham Free Library to get a book that my local library didn't have. In front of the Gorham library was this Free Book Exchange stand. Wish more places had one of those.
Love it! I'm a big fan of libraries, too. Marilyn, here in my PA county(Chester) and I know throughout PA we have an inter library exchange system. I have an online account, go into it, reserve the book I want, and the system then sends it to my little local library who emails me to pick it up. It's wonderful! You may want to check this out in your area. Mary
Good Morning Mary, We have that system here, too. It works fine except when new books come out. For a month or two they have that you have to come to the library and take the book out there. After a month or two they put it in the circulation system like yours is. I wanted to read that author's book so bad, so I got on the system to see who had that book on their shelves. Gorham was the nearest one. So I e-mailed them and they held it for me. I went over and picked it up. I was the first person to read their copy of the book. Even though it is a way from my house, I like to drive in that area as it is so pretty. Also, that library is near Jean's house, Elmer's house, etc.
Hi Carol, The book is A Gathering of Secrets by Linda Castillo. Its a mystery book. I have read all her books so far - some have been made into movies. I read this book, now I have to wait a year to read the next one.
