ELMER's BACK

We're glad to go, but we are glad to be back.  It was nice to eat at Bishop Eli's parents house and Albert and Olive Jean's grandparents house and to dine out at Yoder's and eat foods we shouldn't eat. It is nice to talk with people you only see in Florida.  Nice to go to dinners and have religious music afterward.  (We do a lot of eating).  It was nice to take Eli's parents and Jean's grandparents out to dinners which is not paying them back for all the cooking they did for us.

We went shopping.  We played games outside during the nice weather.  We attended Easter Service in an Amish Church, down here.  Sometimes we just sat on our front porch and watched the world go by.  But there comes a time to come and home we came.

We brought something real special back for Jean and David - Michael.  He had been laid off his job due to lack of work.  Once the tourists leave, businesses slow down and his job was one of them.  The newest employee got the lay off.  His boss said that would give a great letter of reccomendation for any job he applied.  They also hope that he would consider coming back and starting to work in September or October.  With all the time off, Michael wasn't sure what to do.  He applied at a few places, but they didn't have openings.  Then he decided he hadn't seen his family.  Of course Olive and Albert encouraged him.  When he mentioned it to us, I told him I would take care of room on Amtrak.  Of course Albert and I went around and we finally both paid half.

Dottie picked us up when we got to Rochester and drove us home.  We were all excited about what Jean and David would say when they saw Michael.  When we got there, David, had gone into town.  We watched as Michael went up and knocked on the door.  When Jean saw Michael she screamed and threw her arms around him.  We laughed as she said she kept calling come in when she heard the knock.  Wondered why whoever didn't come.   She asked us to come in, but we told her we better get home.

Our farm looked so good to us.  We found out it was all plowed and planted by our son's and sons-in-law while we were gone.  Well, all except Anna's garden,  Her garden had been plowed, but not planted.  Our daughter's said they would help her plant it when she was ready.

The only not so good thing while we were gone - I guess everyone didn't think anyone did but everyone had was watering the plants in Anna's green house.  Some of her plants did not look so good.  Anna put a sign on the greenhouse door that said DO NOT WATER PLANTS IN HERE.  Well people couldn't figure if she was talking about her plants or the plants a couple of ladies brought for Anna to see.  Anna said they should look better in a week or so.  Somehow they didn't do that to the plants Anna keeps in the house.

Of course, when we got home, as I said, all my plowing is done and the planting in.  The house is cleaned from top to bottom.  Our refrigerator and freezer are full.  I made the mistake of telling Anna that all my work was done here - we could have stayed in Florida longer.  At that Anna, pulled out a list  with at list of about 15 things on it for me to do.  I smiled and told Anna, now I know I'm home.

Trust God's Wisdom,
Elmer

Hi Everyone.
For Friday, Monday and today, I have been working at a place I volunteer. So it got me behind here.

I saw that Elmer and Michael got all your messages and they thank you so much.
