On April 18, 2014, I had a post of the outside of the closed Catholic school. I was hoping to get pictures of the inside of the school. It took five years later, but I got in there. The school has been sold to a company that will be remodeling it and moving their business in there. There was an advertisement for garage sale at the school and I had to be there. I thought they would have all items in the gym, but that was not their way. You had to go from room to room. Having gone to that school, it was kind of sad to see it the way it use to be and the way it is now.

I know what you mean about how sad it is to see somewhere where you had a lot of memories so changed. The buildings where I went to elementary and jr.high were torn down years ago to be made into a house and apartments.

...so many Catholic schools have closed in our area!
Good Morning Mary,
The first offer on this school was for it to go into apartments, which I thought was a good idea. But it fell through. So the company bought it. The building will be standing. Memories will change, you are right.

Good Morning Tom,
You are right. This was the last Catholic School in Wayne county when they closed it.

These hallowed buildings used to be the bulwark of education in so many areas...and great educations they were, Marilyn. I for one, am
grateful. I would have bought that Angel on the wall in a NY minute..
so lovely. A great Fourth to you, yours and the rest of the NY State
of Mind team.....
Hi Heritage Hall.
I should have bought that Angel. In fact, I might call and see if they still have it. There was a truck off to the side when I got there and a lady was buying for a new religious school, her church was starting. When I left they had three trucks lined up there. They bought the students, desks, teachers desks, the small children's round table, all the US Flags that were still hanging in the classrooms and I don't what all. She told the lady a check out that she was sorry this happened to St. Michael's, but it was the Lord's answer to her prayers. She didn't know where she was going to get all the furniture for their school at a price they could afford. When they came with their truck, she thought she would get a few things, but St. Michael's gave them such a good price, she called in the other trucks.
Happy Fourth of July, to you, too.

Happy to hear a lot of the things are going to a familiar and good purpose - thanks for that update, Marilyn.

Hi Mary,
I was glad they were going to another religious school, too. You are welcome for the update.

Marilyn - If the Angel did not sell, let's talk...
Have a blessed Fourth.

Let me say that again. It is St. Michael the Archangel.
A bit forlorn.
Hello William,
Yes, it is.
