JEAN'S CHICKEN CHOW MEIN

JEAN'S CHICKEN CHOW MEIN

1 chicken, cooked and broken in pieces
1 Cup celery
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 can chicken noodle soup
1 can chow mein noodles

Mix chicken, celery, mushroom soup, chicken noodle soup and half of chow mein noodles.  Place in baking dish and top with other half of chow mein noodles.  Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.

Jean was upset by the last recipe that she put on, so we replaced it with this one on.  I told her not to get upset.  We are use to our local stores and forget that they are not all over the United States much less the world.

  2. Well I'm not sure why Jean was upset with the last recipe, but this one looks good too. A small store in my neighborhood sells rotisserie chickens, and the ones that don't sell by the end of the day get pulled apart and sold as pulled chicken. No skin, no bones, just small cooked pieces of chicken. I buy it all the time to add to my salad for dinner. So any recipes with cooked pieces of chicken are great for me.

  3. Jean wants her recipes to please people and she when she didn't think about Wegman's Grocery being all over, she thought I should pull it. I wanted to leave it on, but she wanted it off and another on.

I like what your store does with the chicken at the end of the day. There are lots of things that could be used in. Wish stores near me did that.

Glad you like this recipe, too.

  4. I appreciate Jean sharing her recipes with us. I know that they are tried and true and welcome new ideas to add to my recipe box. Thanks to both of you for taking the time to put together such a great blog.

  5. Hello Karen,
That you for your comments and I will see that Jean gets them. She doesn't put on a recipe here, that has not been eaten in her home. Even if she gets a new recipe, she tries it in her home and gets her families reaction before it comes on here. If her family doesn't like, you don't get it.
