As you can see there are many different quilts at the fair. I am sorry there was a fence all around them, but if they didn't, people would walk off with items that were not theirs. It's sad but true. The last one was raffled off. I did not win. Darn. These show that the Amish and Mennonites are not the only ones that make quilts.
The quilts are beautiful and how sad that they have to put a fence around them. The quilts are works of art and represent many hours of work. Cathy in Webster
ReplyDeleteI can't imagine how upset I'd be if I went to pick up my quilt and found that someone else had walked off with it.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful creativity.
Good Morning Cathy,
ReplyDeleteThey are beautiful. It is sad they had to put a fence around them. The fair doesn't have the security to watch them all the time. They are pieces of art.

Good Morning Bonnie C,
ReplyDeleteI would be upset too. I have put things that I have made in the fair and no one has ever stolen everything before they had the fence. But, I guess they do now and it is sad.

Next week is Canal Town Days here and I may be putting more than one post on Saturday and Sunday. There will be on in the morning as usual and maybe another later in the day.
ReplyDeleteJust want you to know.

Really beautiful quilts representing TNTC(too numerous to count)hours of talented work! Sadly, I'm not one who knows how to do this kind of artistry.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunate that one has to resort to fencing for security, but it just shows us the depravity of the human heart as well as a sign of the times in this world.
Looking forward to more pics from Canal Days! Blessings, Carol

Hi Carol,
ReplyDeleteThey are really beautiful. I can't do that kind of work either. I guess that's why I like to take pictures of them. Stealing is a sign of the times and it is sad, too.

These quilts are beautiful. In Erie County at our fair, they have someone sitting in each department to watch over the projects. But if they didn't have those volunteers I'm sure they would have to fence them in too.

Hi Doreen,
ReplyDeleteIt is good that each department has security over the projects. Glad you liked the quilts.

Tomorrow's post will be late. Usually I do it ahead, but I didn't this time and I had some unexpected things come up today. So I will put in on tomorrow when I get up after I walk Pierre.
