OLD ORDER MENNONITE FARM AND SCHOOL

The  first six pictures are of an Old Order Mennonite Farm that I had never been to before.  I have several pictures of farms in that area.  The rest of the pictures are of a school.  I couldn't get to the front of the school, but I was trying to show all the bicycles that were parked there.

JEAN IS MAKING UP THE CHRISTMAS RECIPES LIST.  DOES ANYONE WANT ANYTHING SPECIAL ON?  ARE YOU LOOKING FOR A SPECIAL RECIPE?  SHE WANTS SUGGESTIONS NOW.

IF YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT OUR CHRISTMAS RECIPES ARE.  EVERY YEAR JEAN STARTS A RECIPE A DAY FROM DECEMBER 10th UNTIL DECEMBER 24TH.  EACH RECIPE IS DIFFERENT.  IT CAN BE COOKIES, CANDY, CAKES. PIES, SALAD, MAIN DISH, SIDE DISH, LEFTOVERS, ETC.  SO IF YOU WANT A SPECIAL RECIPE OR ARE LOOKING FOR A RECIPE YOU WOULD LIKE TO SEE ON - NOW IS THE TIME TO LET JEAN KNOW.

  1. Good Morning Everyone,

  2. Marilyn.......You always do such a nice job with your pictures - they give us such an insight into what the area you live in looks like. As far as recipes - here are a few suggestions - stuffing recipe, fruitcake recipe, or a recipe for side dishes to be served with the turkey. I am always on the lookout for a new side dish each year to be able to serve up as a bit of a change. Thank you for taking care of this blog - It is one that I read each day faithfully! Chris

  3. Good Morning Chris,

Thank you for the suggestion for recipes. Jean really appreciates it. It gives her ideas of what people are interested in. Funny you should mention stuffing recipes as Anna and I were talking about them yesterday. I will tell her about side dishes, too.

Thank you for being such an avid reader here. I really appreciate your coming every day.

  4. What a beautiful farm. It looks like it's right out of a magazine. The colors are stunning.

I agree with Chris's suggestions for recipes.

  5. Hi Marilyn, I,too, read the blog daily(unless something weird happens to the computer etc). As it turns out, I won't be able to do so until next Wed. We're driving to Brooklyn to visit our youngest son+his wife. It's nice to visit NYC, but we certainly wouldn't want to live there.
Take care. I hope to be able to catch up on all I miss when we get back(God willing). Would covet your prayers for safe traveling, please. Thanks+ Blessings, Carol

  14. I shouldn't say this, but there is some white stuff on the top of my car. It hasn't stayed on the ground, but it is on the top of my car. It sure is cold outside. My car's heater gets fixed this Monday. I can't drive in this cold, so I am borrowing the lady upstairs truck to drive if I need a vehicle tomorrow. Her heater works in her truck.

Just thought I would let you know the white stuff is heading our way for the weekend.
