While I have been out looking for Amish and Old Order Mennonite,, I did come across a few barns. Some have seen their days of use, but some are still used today.
Good Morning Marilyn, I love barn #3 and I've taken photos of #6. You should return to #6 and take a photo from the west, the door is off its track and hanging at an angle. The yellow barn is special, I love yellow barns...were is it located? Tom The Backroads Traveller
Good Morning Tom, Glad you liked them. Thanks for the advice on number 6. I am trying to think where the yellow barn is. I think it was in either Alton or South Sodus. I was out looking for Old Order Mennonites that I heard had moved into the area. I didn't find them, but I did find the yellow barn. It says open on the outside so I don't know what was inside. I was going to go in, but the it was cold as heck that day and the heater quit on my car again. I was freezing. I got the heater fixed now so I want to run out there and find what is inside of it.
Hi Everyone, Just got back from going out and taking pictures of more barns. Many of the pictures are out in farms but some are in our village. Many of the old barns where they use to keep the horse and buggy have been converted to car garages. So have more barns to put on here.
Hi Marilyn Great pictures this week,the little girl and her swing,the brand new house being built and of course todays pictures of the old barns.I also love old barns,could look at them all day. They come in so many different sizes,shapes and color.I just wonder what stories they could tell.And I imagine how long some of them have stood and all the different things they have housed. I'm sure to slow down and take a good look whenever i'm out in the country somewhere. Stay safe and warm. Ingrid
