Thank you Jean
I have had cabbage in noodle dishes before but not with bacon, this recipe looks quick and tasty
Please could you or Anna tell of your Thanksgiving and Christmas food preparations and what you will be making
That sounds delicious and I'll definitely be trying the recipe. I love cabbage but not when it's cooked to the mushy state. This recipe calls for it to be cooked to the crunchy state. yum!
Good Morning Granny-J,
Welcome. I think the recipe is delicious myself. Will see that Jean gets your message.

Hi dynnamae n,
It does sound good to me, too. Will see that Jean gets your message.

We do the same thing without the noodles and we just soak the cabbage in hot water for a bit - it's a salad, and it's delicious, I believe it's a very old recipe, my grandmother's mother made the dish before the First World War when they all lived in Bohemia.
Cheers,
Birgit from Austria
Hello Birgit,
It could be an old recipe that the Amish brought with them when they came to this country in the 1800's. Jean said her Grandmother makes this recipe, too. I am so glad you make a similar recipe in your country.

Hello Joycelyn,
