OLD ORDER MENNONITE FARM

We have been to this farm before - maybe a year or two ago.  This is the farm that raises different animals.  One year they had a lots of chickens.  Another year turkeys.  So, as I was in the area, I thought I would stop and see what they are raising this year.  This year is looks like turkeys and ducks.

Elmer just called and has a very interesting person who will be putting a post on here, hopefully, next week.  He is one of the people that drive the Amish and Old Order Mennonite to the doctors, grocery store, visiting, etc.  Do you have any questions you would like answered?  Ask questions today, as driver is going to post tomorrow to have it on next week.

Another post on tomorrow !!!

  1. Great pictures Marilyn. Hope your having a good week. I have a few questions for the driver. Does he make a living doing this job? Does he become close to the families and build relationships outside of the service he provides. We have had a few nice days of weather and today looks like rain but rain is always needed. God Bless Veronica

  2. Good Morning Veronica,
I will see that the driver gets your questions. Thank you for the compliments. We are suppose to get some rain today, too. Suppose to be nice on Saturday - then rain for a while. I agree, we need it.

God Blessings to you and yours,

  4. Lovely farm photos. I am fascinated how the clothesline is way up in the air. I've seen this at Amish homes too. Have a great weekend, Marilyn.

  5. Hi Fiona,

Elmer did a post back on August 26, 2013 on the difference between the Amish and Old Order Mennonite. If you push the Blog Archive button you should be able to go back there. I will see if I can get him to another post.

  6. Hi dynnamae n,

I like how these have their clothes way up there. As you said, some of the Amish do it, too.

You have a Great Weekend, too,

Glad you liked them. You are most welcome. I had nothing to do with the color of the sky. LOL
