BONNIE'S IDEAS FOR MY VINTAGE HANKIES
I asked if anyone had any use of some vintage handkerchief's that I had that had small holes, age spots, etc. I thank Bonnie, for sending me the first three pictures giving us ideas on how the hankies can be used. She also said that you can sew them in a straight line and use them as a table runner. Might need to be a backing on them to keep the sturdier.
Pictures 4 and 5 that Bonnie, also sent, show how to edge with lace or tatting. If you have a pretty hanky that has lace or a nice edging around -- you could just place the photo on top of the hanky and frame it that way. The baby in picture number 4 is her granddaughter.
P.S. The wedding invitation is from Bonnie's Great, great, grandparents - they were married in 1893 ..123 years ago.
So creative! I like the red and white pillows the best.

Really nice, esp the wedding invitation! My Italian g'parents were 3+1 yrs old respectively at the time of this wedding.
ReplyDeleteTake care, Marilyn. We're expecting some more snow this afternoon along with colder temps. Wind chill factor will be in effect. BRRRRRR!
Blessings, Carol
Good Morning Carol,
ReplyDeleteThey are really nice. That's interesting about your grandparents at the same time of Bonnie's.
I am preparing for the cold. Got my long johns out. We are suppose to get snow and colder, too. Pierre has a heavier coat coming for Christmas, but he just might get it earlier. Don't want him cold either.
Blessings to you and yours,
Marilyn
