MR. GREEN'S TREES - Handmade
Shawn, who created these trees is known in the rock and gem world as Mr. Green's Trees. He is also a friend of mine. How these came about is a dear friend of his passed away and he wanted something special to remember her by. One day, he said it just came to him to make a stone tree. He had never done it before. So he self-taught himself how to make it. The first one he made is the top one on here. It is made of adventurine and crystal beads standing on amethyst. After making it, he showed it to his friend's mother. She liked it to much, he gave it to her and made another for himself. This started him off in a making these beautiful stone trees. This was about a year ago.
Many people who make these trees glue the stones to the base, but not Shawn. Each one of these bead stones is wired and attached to a base. He makes all of his own bases that he attaches the beads to. Then he attaches the beads and wire base to the larger stone base.
The second and third trees are made of multi beads and were ordered by customers. Picture six are wood beads on a deer bone base. The last one is my favorite of all he has made so far, it is amethyst beads on the tree on an amethyst base.
He has become successful in his craft and two tree shows have been held for him. One of his trees has appeared in our local newspaper. Many of his trees are special order, but some, the idea comes to him and he makes them.
I have more pictures of his trees that I will put on another post. Shawn takes a picture of every tree he makes and I thank him for allowing me to copy some of his pictures to but on here.
If anyone else has a craft, hobby, local pictures, travel pictures, etc. they would like to share on here, please e-mail me at: lincolnlady1121@yahoo.com

These gem trees are gorgeous. My favorite gem is amethyst but I also loved that white tree. Canadian geese are a favorite of mine too, and enjoyed those photos. Hugs to you and Pierre.
