QUILTS - FIRST LUTHERAN CHURCH Of LYONS, NY

For the past several years, I go to the Quilt Sale at the First Lutheran Church in Lyons, New York.  All of these quilts are hand sewn or machine made mostly by the members of their church, but some are donated by local residents some including Amish.

Some of the money raised here goes to make quilts for people who have lost heir home in a fire.  Also, some of the money goes to help those in foreign countries.  Other of the money goes to buy more material so they can make quilts for people in the hospital and small quilts for new babies.

...lots of wonderful colors!

Great pictures. The simple patterns would be quick to make, especially with the larger blocks. If I lived in your area, I'd definitely purchase at least one of the quilts.

Great fun raising idea. All that work involved in making these lovely quilts!

I like the ones with the most colors the best!

These are beautifully done. I was in a Lutheran church here back in June for a Doors Open event and they had a number of quilts around the sanctuary. Members of the congregation make many of these over a year.

Hi Folks,

Thank you so much for your responses. I have been tied out with my cousin in the hospital. There are more posts to put on every now and again. I have a lot more quilts to put on.
