First picture is of Pierre before he goes to the groomer's. He wanted to take a little nap first. We get into the car and head to the dog groomers. Out front is their sign. The dog groom lady's business is in her home. She came recommended to me by my vet and also people at the apartments I live in take their dogs there. She does an excellent job in grooming. Pierre is easy to do. Last picture shows him all groomed up, ready for his birthday tomorrow. Again, he is ready to take another hap. Those groomers sure wear doggies out.

Couldn't resist taking pictures of his trip to the groomers. This is Pierre's first birthday with me even though he is celebrating his fourth on December 4th. I wonder if he ever got gifts on his birthday before. He will on this one !!!!

Happy Birthday Pierre!♥

Do you have an interest in becoming a professional dog groomer? You can learn what it takes to work in a dog spa or for your own dog grooming salon. It's a great profession for someone who loves working with dogs.

I would love to lean to become a dog groomer. If fact, we use to have a program that B.O.C.E.S. offered where you could take your dogs to get them groomed for free as the groomers were people in training. The problem is the price. I couldn't afford it. If I remember it was over a thousand and being on Social Security, I just don't have that kind of money. There is also more to it than grooming. In our State there is a lot you have to learn about dogs. Medical information and such.

I groomed one other toy poodle, a neighbor dog, Rascal. He died though. He was 19!! I do not want to be a groomer. I have allergies to most dogs, not the non-shedding type like poodles. =)
ReplyDeleteHi Vickie, You do a great job grooming. I am sorry about Rascal. My previous poodle, Niki, lived to be 17. Sorry you have such allergies. I love it that poodles don't shed. Oh, I put a Happy Birthday Post on for Pierre.
