TIME TO PLOW THE FIELDS !!!!!

This time out taking pictures, I found some farmers plowing.  The first three pictures are of plowing equipment I saw.  The next five pictures are of Bishop Joseph (Martha's husband) plowing his fields.  He thought it was kind of funny that I wanted pictures of him plowing. I explained that some people that live in cities have never seen a farmer plow.  Also, he was concerned that I would get his face in the pictures. I told him my camera wasn't that good from the distance I was from his tractor. When I got done, I showed him and Martha all the pictures so I could delete anything he didn't approve.  He approved them all.  The last picture is the back part of the field after it was plowed.  Of all the Amish and Old Order Mennonites that I know, in their area,  Bishop Joseph was the only one plowing that day.  I want to thank Bishop Joseph and Martha for allowing me to take the pictures.

  6. Hi Folks,
I think we are going to have something special on next week. We are having Wowee Wildlife Extravaganza in Palmyra this weekend and I got permission to go in and take all the pictures I wanted. I know they have lots of wildlife for the whole family. We have never had anything like this in town before that I can remember, so I can't wait to see it. I hope it doesn't rain this weekend. I am charging all three sets of batteries for my camera. So we will see what we will see next week.

  9. Thank you to you for taking the photos and to Bishop Joseph for allowing you to. I am one of the city folk who rarely sees a farmer's field, let alone someone actually plowing it.
