SARAH COVENTRY






Sarah Coventry was named after the granddaughter of Lyman K. Stuart who founded the company in 1949,  It is recognized as the oldest direct selling jewelry company in the world.  They did not design their own jewelry but used other manufacturers to produce their jewelry.  Sarah Coventry was sold at home jewelry parties throughout the country.

The top four pictures are ones that I took at Newark Historical Museum.  The last two pictures are of a piece of Sarah Coventry Jewelry I recently purchased at a church rummage sale.

    How interesting. That is beautiful jewelry. I have a necklace and ring with a red stone. My husband bought it at an auction many, many years ago. I had the necklace on the other day. jodie

    You can still get it on such places auctions. Rummage sales, garage sales, etc. Also, there is some on Ebay and Etsy. Most of it is used, but it is in great condition.

    Wow, a name from the past! I remember those little get-togethers to sell jewelry. That and Tupperware.

    Funny, I use to sell Tupperware back in the late 60's and early 70's. I remember those jewelry get togethers, too.
