CHRISTMAS IN THE BIBLE

A friend brought this to my attention - if you read a Chapter a day in St. Luke's Gospel - by December 24th you should have read the Gospel and the true reason for Christmas.  You should start on December 1st.  As I am telling you this on December 2nd, you will finish it on Christmas Day.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO ON BLACK FRIDAY ?

What are you going to do today?  Are you going to work?  Going to the stores shopping? Set up your Christmas Tree? or something else?  I asked this question back in 2012.  Since then we have more people.  Also, people change things over the years.  So what are you going to do today?

I am trying to decide if I should go to another Amish and Mennonite area for pictures or stay home and do laundry.

I am sorry I do not have a post on as I said I would.  A friend of mine fell and I had to the her to the hospital.  She did not break anything ,( thank heaven), but she is sore this morning.

MIDDLE SCHOOL PHOTO CLUB STUDENTS PICTURES

Here are some pictures done by the Middle School Students Photo Club. 

On Wednesday, we will have a Thanksgiving Post for us.  I am not sure who will be doing it yet.

As you can see, the owners have a fence around them.  I went driving in Amish area and these are all I could find. 

A month from today is Christmas.

Carol asked if we had to take our prayer cap off and take out the pins in our hair when we went into the prison.  When we got to the prison they sent out purses through a metal detector and we had a walk through.  Michael's girl friend did not set it off, but I did.  When I broke my leg a couple of years ago, they put in a medal plate - that set the detector off.  The man got a hand held detector and ran it up and down - when he hit my leg - that set it off, so the man asked me to lift my shirt part of the dress.  The hand held detector went off at the leg,  He let me go through. 

The man asked us to take off our prayer cap.  He said if a lady were there, she would probably feel our hair.  He ran the and metal detector around our heads.  The pins did not set it off.  He did look inside our prayer caps.  He let us through.

I think the fact that there was a plate between us and we spoke on the phone let us through.  If we were in a room with her, I think they may have asked us to take the pins out.

What was funny is when my purse went through.  The man turned to me and said in a question tone, you are a mother.  I said yes how did he know.  Well he said, you have a pack of kleenex,, band-aides, sewing kit, tooth picks and I don't know what all.

I wish to thank everyone for all the well wishes and prayers you gave me yesterday, my birthday. You made a very Happy Birthday for me.  I also thank all our Amish and Mennonite friends especially Elmer because he is the one that had the post put on.
