MARILYN'S POST

Here we are back to the computer again.  I am still having problems.  My computer lady is off of her vacation and will be working on mine, hopefully this weekend.  She has a few ahead of me.

What she really thinks is, the time has come for me to get a new one, but I can't afford that right now. Anyway, we are going to get together and see if we can't keep this one going.  So that is what the situation is right now.

Hope to be back and running with everything right by Monday.  Just thought I would tell you.

Have a nice weekend,
Marilyn

VILLAGE OF MACEDON - ELMER CLARK PAVILION

This hand painted sign is at the entrance of the Village of Macedon - Elmer Clark Pavilion.  The sign shows of the Erie Canal.  Behind the sign is a place to picnic.  There are also two walk ways along the canal in this park.

TURTLES ALONG THE ERIE

A friend and I were walking on the walk way behind where I live looking for turtles.  Were very surprised at the number of turtles we found.  Both of us want to walk to get some exercise.

AFRICAN VIOLETS FROM THE SHOW

Anna told you about our going to the African Violet Show last Saturday, so here are some of the pictures of plants that were on show.  We all had a great time at the show and for lunch.  Were very happy that Margaret joined us.

Some of these plants do not look like African Violets, but they come in many different styles and shapes.

ANNA'S POST: AFRICAN VIOLET SHOW - 2018

Last Saturday was annual African Violet Show, again.  There was Marilyn, Jean, Dot, myself and we had a new one this time.  Jean talked Margaret into coming with us.

The African Violet show was a little small this time because there is going to be a big show in Buffalo, New York the end of May.  It is going to be a big one with the United States African Violet and Canada African Violet together.  It will be the end of May.  We are thinking of maybe going to see that one too, if time works out.

Of course, Marilyn took pictures of all the plants, that I am sure she will show on here, a few at a time.  In the next room, were African Violet plants for sale, soil, fertilizer, and more.  Marilyn met a lady she had been talking to on the computer about African Violets.

Jean bought a couple of African Violets, so did Dot.  Before I left the house, Elmer told me, that I didn't need anymore African Violets - we had enough.  But I didn't listen to him.  I bought a couple of different ones - that I didn't already have.  Margaret was shy.  She wanted one, but didn't know if she should buy any.  Jean told her, she had her money for teaching and that was her money to do as she pleased with.  Not that Jean wouldn't have purchased them for her, if she wanted them.  So Margaret bought two - one for each of her windows in her bedroom.

After we left left there, we decided to go to lunch.  So we went out to lunch.  We sat talking for a while.  Them we went home.

Elmer saw me coming in the door with the African Violets.  He said: "More African Violets !"  I told Elmer, he goes to auctions and buys farm tools, machine parts, train stuff, and more.  Well, my buying habit is plants - especially African Violets.  He laughed.

So that is our annual story of the African Violet Show.

Anna

BABY CHICKS

I went to Country Max to get Pierre a bed.  While in there, I saw these Baby Chicks, I thought you might like to see them. I don't think I ever had these on before.  The Manager allowed me to take these pictures.  I have pictures of other creatures I saw in there that I will show later, Oh, Pierre didn't get his bed yet.

I thank Country Max for allowing me to take these pictures in their store and also allowing me to put them on here.

ANTIQUE CAR

If my memory serves me right this is a 1958 Chevrolet Convertable that was in the show during Canal Town Days last September.

BARNS

It was cloudy the day I took these.  Part of it is do to the zoom on my camera. It doesn't extend as far as it use to.  I messed around with it and I think I have it fixed - but not sure.

ELMER'S POST

Anna says I am driving her crazy.  I am pacing back and forth.  I want to go plowing.  Of course, I couldn't Sunday it being the Lord's Day, but even if it had been a week day, I couldn't have because of the rain and icy weather.

Bishop Eli cancelled church service Sunday. Actually, he did it on Saturday.  He felt the roads would be too icy.  Didn't want anyone getting hurt on the way to service or on the way home. Said we will have it next week at the same people's home.

Today, as I give Marilyn the post, it is raining.  Anna told me to do something.  She didn't care what it was, just get out of her way.  So I decided to give Marilyn the post.  Anna is busy doing the washing, cleaning the house and wanting to know what I wanted for dinner.  It's still morning and she wants to know what I want for dinner!  I can't make decisions like that this early in the day.  If I don't tell her what I want, she will make what she wants - which is fine with me. No matter what she cooks tastes great.  Anna read over my shoulder as she was passing by.  Says I am trying to butter her up.

Anyway, here us farmers are waiting.  Before this weather started, I plowed where Anna has her garden.  That is ready.  Also dug up where she wants to plant some of her flowers.  Anna told me if I want something to do, when I get done with this post, I can go out in her green house and pot some of the plants she wants to sell.  I think she wants me out of the house, so she can get her inside chores done.  So I guess, I will go out there and do that for her.

Trust God's Wisdom,
Elmer
