MOLASSES TAFFY-DECEMBER 19th
I still haven't found the taffy recipe that I was asked for, but I did find this one. The young people like to get into the making of taffy. Jean
1 cup of molasses
1 cup sugar
1 Tablespoon vinegar
1 lump butter - the size of a walnut
Pinch of soda
Boil together molasses, sugar, vinegar and butter. When the mixture hardens when a bit is dropped in cold water-add soda and remove from heat. Pour mixture in a buttered pan or on paper,

I have never made taffy. Jean's recipe makes it sound easy. It is cold here today, but still no snow. Wonder if we will get a white Christmas. The weathermen seem to think so.
