JEAN IS COMING, TOMORROW !!!!

Just a reminder that Jean is coming on at 6:00 AM Eastern Standard Time tomorrow morning  about the school that Susan goes to.  On Wednesday is a recipe from Jean and on Friday are some more pictures that I took of Susan's school.

PLEASE leave comments or questions for Jean,  If Jean does not get commentsor questions she thinks no one is interested.  Michael, Edward and I have tried to explain to her that people read, but do not leave comments.  I have shown her on the computer, what stat is and the number there, but still she does not understand.  So please get as many comments or questions for Jean.

On January 14th Martha will be filling in for Jean and is telling of Bridget and Kevin's wedding.  I think you will like that one, too.

Hello.......
Please do not think that because we do not comment that we are not interested - NOT TRUE!!

Some possible topics that can be discussed:

A typical calendar for you - (busy times vs not-busy times) and what are your priorities for each. A list of chores/responsibilities each family member is in charge of.

Typical menu for a week for your family.

Canning recipes.

Happy New Year - Thank you!

Chris

Good Morning Chris, I have written down all your requests for Jean and will give them to her. I have tried to explain to Jean that just because people don't comment, doesn't mean they don't read or they are not concerned, but she does not understand. No matter who I get to explain it to her. I even showed her my computer and how many read it. So if you could leave just a comment to let her know you read it, it would be appreciated.
Happy New Year,
Marilyn

I read and so enjoy reading about her life. I also would like to see some things on canning and butchering poultry if they do that. I have been raising chickens for eggs for 2 years and would like to raise some for meat and we acquired a pair of Bourbon Red turkeys this fall and want to breed them and then butcher them next fall. I realize not everyone would want to read a detailed "how to butcher a turkey or chicken" but I'm sure there are those like me who want to learn.

Hello Paula O,
I have written down your request for Jean. I know they do slaughter chickens and cows at their house for meat. Also David has been cutting up deer for hunters during hunting season. I couldn't watch them do it. My stomach couldn't take it. LOL They say after a few slaughters you get use to it. LOL

Hi Jodie, Anonymous and Bob,
I have made a note to give to Jean on your what information you would like. Jean needs comments or questions tomorrow to show her we care. I also try to make the posts as best I can. I am just starting out and this is all fairly new to me. I am learning, though. Hope you all have a great day.

Good Morning Jean. I enjoyed the post and photo about your school. I followed you and Marilyn on Richards website and so happy to have you here. I may not have suggestions or questions, but I can honestly say, I have found all of your posts and Marilyns to be very interesting. By now, we feel like we know your family and look forward to hearing what is happening in your world. May God bless you in this New Year.

Dear Jean,

I have a question for you. Do the Old Order Mennonites invest in the stock market or do they just use a bank for savings. I understand that this is personal and I fully understand if you would not want to answer this.

Yours truly,
Scott Smith

Hello Scott,
I have written the question down to ask Jean. That is a good questio n because I don't think anyone has asked a question in that regard before.

Hi there, I have a question for Jean. What is her attitude about taking over the counter medications? I am a physician and did some of my training in a hospital with a large Amish population, and many Amish did not seem to like taking over the counter medications- cold medicines, pain relievers like tylenol, that type of thing. Thanks.

Hello,
Thank you for stopping and your comment. I have written down the question to ask Jean. I am sure she will publish the reply in one of her posts.
