EASTER RECEIPE WEEK

The votes are in !! Jean will have a recipe a day starting on Palm Sunday until and including Saturday, March 30th.  There won't be a receipe on March 31st as that is Easter Sunday.  Posts will resume on April 1st.

Jean was wondering if anyone had any suggestions as to what type of recipes you would like on.  She thought she would keep them in line with Easter and Spring.  Any suggestions would be appreciated.  During Easter Week, I will be on to leave comments and check them.

Also, I try to keep up on any SPAM that gets on here.  But, if you do come across Spam on here, please let me know at lincolnlady1121@yahoo.com  I remove them as soon as I spot them, but sometimes I don't catch them righ away. I would appreciate it.

So if you have any recipe suggestions, please let us know.

We didn't have many voters, but that's the vote we got so Jean is putting a recipe a day. Any suggestions would be appreciated. We are going to start to set it up today. It will take us a few days for Jean to chose which ones and for me to get them on. So let's get some suggestions so Jean knows what you would like.

Good Morning Marilyn and Pierre.
Mabel continues to do pretty well now. She is down from 4 different prescriptions to 3, soon to be 2. =)

My favorite food is chocolate.
Anything chocolate to share with us Jean?

Hi Gerritje H,
I am glad everyone is doing better, too. I will thank Jean for you and see if she can come up with that recipe. I've seen it in bakeries, but never had it.
Blessings to you,

Jean is going to have two posts next week. One on Monday and again on Friday. While she was looking through her recipes she found something else she does every Easter especially with David Jr. and Susan, but sometimes the others do too. Anyway she said not to tell you what it is-yet. So I removed what I already had on there for that Friday to another Friday and this is going on. I think you will like it, I do.

hi Marilyn! i will be happy with any of Jean's selected recipes...but to be honest...and maybe this is the subject of future posts for Jean, Martha and Olive...i would like to know about their meals. like, what do they usually eat for breakfast, dinner and supper? not so much recipes but explanations on what would main courses and side dishes be comprised of during those 3 mealtimes. i am always very interested in learning what mothers and grandmothers pair together with meals.

i am glad that you are feeling better Marilyn...and i am so happy to hear that little Mabel is on the mend too. give a kiss to Pierre from me.

Hi Gerritje H,
Jean asks if you know what country that recipe came from? She has two or three yeast recipes that the bread is braided. She believes one of them is what you are looking for. One is Russia, one is from Czechoslovakian and one is an Amish/Mennonite recipe.
So if you could let us know, we would appreciate it.

Never mind Gerritje H,
I should have left Jean alone. She's right, it's German. She knows more than me especially when you consider it their man language.

It's so nice to hear that Mabel is doing better.

I'm serving ham on Easter Sunday, so any recipes for leftover ham would be nice.

I'm still amazed at how large Olive's/Jean's family is. How many will be at Jean's house for Easter? Does she have a special meal that is usually served for Easter?

oh - it`s me again Marilyn. and i am with Doreen above. i would love to know exactly what Jean will serve at Easter dinner....and if she changes it up year to year or if it is a traditional kind of meal (my husband and i tend to have the same `traditional`meal at Easter and at christmas). so i am interested in Jean`s approach. thank you Marilyn. and you can give Pierre a kiss from me everyday.

Hi Doreen,
Thank the Lord Mabel is doing better.

You are the second that wants for left over ham. I will tell Jean.

I will have to ask Jean your questions and get back.

Don't forget your post is on tomorrow.

Hi Kymber,
I will ask Jean your questions, too. I don't know where Easter dinner will be: at her house, her parents, etc

I will kiss Pierre again.
