On the way home from the Haiti Benefit Auction, we saw this school sign. I passed it, but had to turn around to take pictures of the school.
Thought you might like to see something else that we saw along the way.
SEEING I MADE MISTAKES ON THIS ONE, I HAVE A NEW POST COMING ON TOMORROW.
MONDAY, ELMER WILL BE ON WITH HIS FIRST POST ABOUT WHY THE AMISH DON'T HAVE ELECTRIC. PLEASE WELCOME HIM.

Good Morning everyone,
Suppose to be back in the 80's again. The brake light lit up on my car last night so the car has to go to the garage-again. I don't know if the brakes are working so I can drive it or they will have to tow it in again. Ugh !!

Marilyn - This school is not, and never was used by the Mennonites. It dates back to 1864 is being restored. The Mennonite school is not far back the road.
Oh, my gosh !!! With the sign and all on the post, I thought this was the school being used. I will chagne that. Thank you for telling me.

If you saw the post, I had to change it. I had some misinformation on there. Thank you Anonymous for bringing it to my attention.

What a cute building. So this is a restored English one room school house that is no longer being used? I didn't quite understand the confusion.
Oh I just googled it and found a brochure saying that the building was donated and relocated to the current spot in 1991, and then restored. It now serves as a reminder of the one room schoolhouses in the area prior to centralization. It's open to the public on Saturday mornings June-July-August. I'm not sure how old the brochure is, and whether the days of being open still apply.
Very nice pictures. I love seeing such wonderful pieces of history.

Marilyn, if you mean a Brake light on the dash is on, that usually means the parking brake is on. Making sure it is off should make that light go off.

I thought the school was a Mennonite School, Doreen, but I found out after I put it on - it wasn't. Thank you for your information. I learned something new today.

Hi Gary,
That is what it usually is, but on my car the brake line is leaking. This will be the third time I had the car to the same garage this week for the leaking brake line. I don't know what they are doing wrong, but they are not fixing what is wrong with the car. They didn't charge me the second time for repairs, I don't know what they are going to do this time.

Thank you, Sue Ann. I learned something from this, too. Thank you for the compliments.
