JEAN'S APPLE BUTTER

APPLE BUTTER

2 Doz, apples, quartered
2 qts. sweet cider
1/2 teasp cloves
3 Cups sugar
1 1/2 teasp cinnamon

Cook apples in cider until soft.  Pour through sieve.
Measure 3 quarts apple pulp and cook until thick enough to round up on spoon.
Add sugar and spices.  Cook slowly, about 1 hour.
Pack in hot jars and process 10 minutes in hot water bath.

Good Morning Everyone,
Here is the recipe that was requested. Her recipe next week is also one that someone requested.

It is warming back up here. In the 60's today. Hope to be back in the 70's in a day or two.

If possible It would be good to have some Christmas recipes that can be made in advance for the freezer

You are most welcome,anonymous. In fact Jean was wondering if people wanted the Christmas recipe a day that we had last year. If I figure it right, it started 10 days before Christmas and we had a different recipe a day right up until Christmas Eve.
