In addition to the tractors are the special sign they had for this auction, the screen they sold the tractors from, some of the people that came and finally different items they had for sale on the screen.  This is the last of the Jim Erdle Tractor Auction posts.  I hope you enjoyed them.  Thank you all for viewing them.

Good morning Marilyn. It rained here all night but has since stopped. It is still very dark and dreary. I am curious as to what most people who bought the tractors would do with them. I assume most did not actually work. It is Friday already and I am not sure where the week went but I hope everyone has a great weekend. I hope you are able to get out and about to take some pictures that you would like to do. Have a great Friday and remember you are always in my thoughts. Blessings Veronica

Good Morning Veronica,

I think most of them went to other collections, but I do believe some of them were bought to use. David, Joseph, Elmer and more Amish and Mennonites were there. Those of Amish and Mennonite bought them to use. Our weather is like yours today. Hope you have a great weekend, too.
Blessings to you and yours,
Marilyn

Good Morning Doreen,
Glad you like the pictures. I am glad the camera is fixed, too. Will be going to some rummage sales and am going to see if I can pick up another digital camera - just for back-up. If I don't find one, I will save up and get another new one, but not the same make as I have now. Would never get the same make as I have now.

Hello Veronica,
Thank you,, I hope it is nice tomorrow, too. I hope I find something to take nice pictures of. Sometimes I go out and there just doesn't seem to be anything interesting to take pictures of.

Blessings to you and yours,

A lot of farmers down here, go to these auctions, and when they buy one, they fix it up- as much back to the original as possible- some use them in the fields, and others go to tractor shows! In my opinion, that's a lot of steel to dust and look at!!!! LOL! But..the guys like doing it!!! I suppose we gals have things we do too..! Nice seeing you again Doreen.
Pouring rain all day here..finally let up around supper, but more to come on Sun.Leaves are dropping fast, WALNUTS are falling...hint hint....get out there and stomp around a little!! haha!! Still finding field mushrooms.....first cold snap- and they are done.
I will be moving wood into our barn, to keep it dry all winter- can't have a fire with wet wood...so, me and my wheelbarrow will be best buds for a few hours tomorrow!!!! Doreen, I found a neat dressing for you, will put in on the Tues Post.
How about taking pics of the leaves changing? or the canal?

Good Morning Sue Ann,
Thank you so much for your information. I plan on having the leaves change - if they would change. Also have lots of pictures of the Erie to put on. Just waiting for the museum to send me the pictures of the museum. Fall pictures along the Erie are beautiful, if, like I said, the leaves would change. Some trees the leaves are off of, but they didn't change to fall colors, they just fell off green.

Went out today and filled the car up with gas - was going to take pictures. It's raining. Can't take good pictures in the rain. So I guess, I will have to wait until the weather clears up later in the week.

The grand total was reported to be in the vicinity of $7.8 million.

Plus 5% "buyers premium", plus sales tax since most of these folks are collectors (I'd assume like Connecticut, if you're buying something for actual farm work its exempt).

Prices if you're interested:

WOW Matt,
I knew it went high on that auction, but I didn't think it went that high. Knew there was buyers premium and I knew New York State had to get their share, but still it was a large amount.

I know some of the Amish and Mennonites bought them for farm use.

Thank you for telling us. That is very interesting.

Wow, one of them sold for $375,000.00, and several for over $100,00.00. I had no idea that they could be worth so much. It must have been exciting to see them being auctioned off.

Those prices really went high on some of them. It was exciting watching them being auctioned off. I didn't stay for all of them, Doreen.
