VETERANS DAY, NOVEMBER 11th, 2013

Many Americans mistakenly believe that Veterans Day is the day Americans set aside to honor American military personal who died in battle or as a result of wounds
sustained from combat.  That's not quite true.  Memorial Day is the day set aside to honor American's war dead.

Veteran's Day, on the other hand, honor ALL American veterans, both living and dead.  In fact, Veterans Day is largely intended to thank LIVING veterans for dedicated and loyal service to their country.  November 11 of each year is the day that we insure veterans know that we deeply appreciate the sacrifices they have made in their lives to keep our country free.

THANK A VETERAN !

Happy Veteran's Day everyone especially those that have served our country.

I have to take my friend for the third time this morning, to get her knee replaced. The first two times she got turned down, so I hope they will do it this morning. If I don't answer your comments, that is where I am.

Well. we got back from the hospital and the doctor wouldn't do the operation again. Three times and you are out. She is thinking of going to my doctor. The only thing he is at a different hospital. My doctor has been doing this surgery for years and has a better attitude that her doctor has. This is the third time he turned her down.

Thank you for honoring our Veterans.

I have been working on the week of November 18th and have all the posts made up except Jean's 18th. Jean's family had to go out of town to a family funeral so we may have Amish on the 18th as Elmer said he would fill in if Jean didn't get back in time. I think you will like the Mennonite business I have on that week.

It is snowing. Really snowing. It's on the ground. I don't know, I always like the first snow, but I don't like any after that. LOL It's dark or I would run outside and take pictures.
