Above are pictures of many of the other flowers and African Violets that they sell. They also sell pots, potting soil, books and more. I also showed the check out. The last two plants shown are the two African Violets that I purchased.
Again, I thank Rob and Olive "Ma" for allowing me to come in and take all these pictures. If you are living or visiting the area, I would call before I came as they may be at a show. Also, if you wanted to stay for a few days, they own a house that they rent out to tourists in the area.
Naples has many restaurants and stores in the area. In September, they have the annual Grape Festival, that I will be telling you about in another post.
Hope you enjoyed seeing The Violet Barn. They are at: www.violetbarn.com

Good Morning Everyone,
This is the last of the three posts on The Violet Barn. Hope you have enjoyed the posts. I took these pictures back in October. So glad I finally got them on.
It is 13 degrees this morning, but the wind isn't blowing, so it doesn't feel as cold as it did yesterday.

After reading the bio's for Rob and Ma, and seeing their extensive expertise in African Violets, I can tell how lovingly these flowers are taken care of. They're all so beautiful and I enjoyed seeing your pictures. I hope the two little ones that you brought home are doing okay.
I just commented to my husband this morning about how much better the temperature felt, although it's still in the teen's. I laughed because not long ago the teen's were practically unbearable. I guess we got used to the unseasonably cold temperatures.

Thanks for sharing about the Violet Barn. I really need to go visit that place. Years ago I stopped in when I was in Naples, but no one was there. African violets are a favorite of mine and I would love to get some unique ones from them. Any more 'best kept secrets' in the Finger Lakes you can share with us?
Hi Doreen,
They really do take care of the African Violets and other plants there. It is a beautiful place to see. Glad you lied the pictures.
It doesn't seem too bad here today, but I guess it is going to get colder.

Hi Anonymous,
Before you head out there again, I would give them a call just to make sure that they aren't at a show somewhere. They are open Tuesday thru Saturday noon until 5:00PM.
I keep looking for the "best kept secrets in the Finger Lakes". When I hear of these places, I like to go and see them before I put them on. Anyone have any suggestions?

I love African Violets. They were my moms favorite. I do have a hard time keeping them going though.
Nothing like a flower shop to keep the heart lite in the winter.
Great pictures!
Thank you Arlene,
They were my Mom's favorite, too. I agree that there nothing like a flower to keep the heart lite in winter.
