THE UNITED CHURCH OF MARION, MARION, NY

The United Church of Marion was established in 1895.  It sits right on Main Street in Marion, NY.  United Church is a Presbyterian / Baptist Church, but people of all faiths are welcome.  Compared to the size of Marion, this is a large church.

Hi Marilyn,
I have enjoyed many chicken and biscuit dinners in this church. The homemade pies are the best!
Have a great week. Tom The Backroads Traveller

Marilyn, I just came back from Marion and the church has their dinner sign out along the road. It may be Monday night.

Hi Folks,
The fellow that lives across from me just put some bread crumbs out and the squirrel came right up for them. He is taking pictures of the squirrel. He has an expensive camera to take the animal pictures with. He has all sorts of pictures of birds and squirrels. I wish he would let me have some of his pictures to put on here, but he says folks wouldn't be interested in them. He takes some fantastic pictures. That is his hobby. He says he doesn't drink, smoke or do drugs - pictures of animals are his habit.

The United Church in Marion is much older than 1895 with the original Baptist Church organized in 1804. Another wooden structure was originally on this site with this building being dedicated in 1904. The Baptists and Presbyterians eventually merged to create the United Church.
