CANAL TOWN DAYS - CIVIL WAR REINACTMENT

At Canal Town Days they had a reinactment of the 28th Civil War Unit which included the men of Palmyra, NY.  I have always had an interest in the Civil War so I was really interested in what they had to say.  This is the first time I had seen how the Civil War men really lived during the war.  They also gave me great information on tracing my Great-great-grandfather who faught in the Civil War.  The last picture is some of the reinactment people walking in the parade.

Hey Marilyn, Very cool! I so much enjoy history, too. Ever been to the Genesee Country Museum near Geneva? Mid 30's this morning here. Fall has fallen I guess. Such a lovely time of year, don't you think? Blessings, Carol

Hi Carol,
Glad you like it. No, I haven't been there yet. Every time I plan on going something comes up. It was real cold this morning here, too. I like to see the leaves turn.

I have a great deal on my great-great grandfather, but I still need more on his Civil War days.

Glad you enjoyed this.
