JEAN'S BAKED FISH WITH CHEESE DRESSING

I thought with this being fishing season, you might want a recipe for fish.  In this you can use fish you caught or store bought fish.

JEAN'S BAKED FISH WITH CHEESE DRESSING

Fish Filet
1 small onion
4 Tablespoons butter or margarine
Soft bread crumbs (1 slice per serving)
1/2 Cup grated cheese
3/4 Cup milk
salt and pepper

Arrange fish in buttered baking dish.  Slice or chop onions and saute in butter.  Add crumbs, cheese and seasoning.  Toss lightly with fork until lightly browned.  Spread over fish.  Pour milk around fish.  Bake 30 minutes at 350 degrees.

Thank you Jean
I often make baked fish with homemade cheese sauce and some kind of topping but your recipe seems simpler quicker and just as nice

Hi Evie,

Glad you like it. I have made fish a lot of ways, but I never thought of putting cheese on it. I will have to try this one. I will see that Jean gets your message.
