Looking for roadside stands was not as easy as I thought it would be. In the two Amish and Old Order Mennonite areas that I was in, I only saw one roadside stand. These three stands are from Palmyra. They are Englishers stands.
It is too bad that people steal. I know two of the people that own these stands and if someone went to their house and told them they couldn't pay, they would let them have it. But stealing. Now that is getting low.
Yes, it is a sad commentary on the state of the human soul which is inherently sinful. Thoughts, words, and deeds do change when one believes God. Through God's grace, ones belief in Christ alone-standing solely on the finished work of Christ on the cross as full payment for ones sins, will the world witness the truth of His word and the results of obedience to His word. The produce in these stands are beautiful! Looks like they've had quite a good growing season! Yumm! Blessings to all+try to stay cool these next few days. Carol
Hi Folks, I went to the Farmer's Market today and got pictures of Mr. and Mrs. Martin's stand. They are an older Weaverland Mennonite couple. I purchased some goodies from them and have pictures of my purchases, too. The post will be on next week.
It has been hard lately finding any Amish or Mennonites. Maybe this is the break.

What a shame that they have to have a sign about stealing! Tom The Backroads Traveller
Good Morning Tom,
It is a shame that they have to have such signs.

They must have had problems in the past to resort to this sign. It's too bad that they had to use it.

Hi Marilyn, please ck your Yahoo email for email from me and let me know what you think, ok? Thanks, Carol Ann
Hi Carol,
It is sin full that people steal. At least two of these sellers would give it to them if they couldn't afford it.
We did have a great growing season this year, here.
I did answer you so you should be receiving a reply shortly.
Thank you,
Marilyn
