Lyons United Methodist Church started as the Methodist Episcopal Church in a log cabin, which was used as meeting place for "Genessee Conference". In 1810 it was decided that the cabin was too small; funds were raised and a new church was built and completed in 1818. The church stood until 1851 when it was destroyed by fire. Shortly after the fire, the church was rebuilt and the new building is still used today.
In looking for the history of the church, I found some pictures of the interior of the church, which I am showing today. I have never been inside this church, but it has a beautiful interior.
