THANKSGIVING DAY - SNOW PICTURES

On Thanksgiving Day morning, I went out to take pictures of the newly fallen snow.  The top three are of my backyard.  The next two pictures are of a barn down the street from the park. Picture seven is of my friend Sam's garden.  Pictures nine, ten and eleven are of two squirrels running around the tree.  I tried to get close, but didn't want to scare them, so you have to look close.

This amount of snow would be very nice for Christmas, but not 6 feet. I'm always surprised when we get so much snow throughout the winter, and on so many Christmas mornings we have rain or no snow at all.

Good Morning Doreen,

I hope we get snow on Christmas, but no six feet. Agree with you in that we have snow that we don't have it on Christmas some years.

I do remember the first Christmas when I moved back from Florida. Couldn't even get from my apartment to my friend's to celebrate Christmas. Her husband's truck couldn't make it up my driveway. When they recently bought the new truck - he got four wheel drive on that one.

Hi Marilyn, when it started to snow Wed at 12:30 it looked like lake-effect. Odd because the Glens Falls area doesn't normally get lake-effect. On the other hand, CNY westward it's a given! Heavy+wet+stuck to everything-so pretty! Looks like we had a good 8" when all was said and done. With this area's atmosphere being drier than home(originally Onondaga County), there's a lot more problems with ice. Every winter we've been here so far has had a 2-3 week period of time consecutively where driveways etc remain a thick sheet of ice-skating rink!
Nice pics again! Stay warm and safe throughout the winter season. Blessings, Carol

Hi Carol,
We didn't have a lot of snow here. Just a couple of inches, but it came out pretty. You folks really got it.

Thank you for the compliments. You stay warm and safe through the winter season, too.
