SCHOOL BOAT TEAMS ON THE ERIE CANAL

Thought we needed a winter break.  Took these pictures of some of the school boat teams practicing on the Erie Canal last October.  Thought they would remind us that better weather is coming - it might be a while - but it is coming.

What a nice sight to see. All of those boats coming down the Erie Canal. It looks like all girls too.

Yes, I think it's called sculling. One really has to be in shape, not to mention being co-ordinated, to be able to participate in this sport. Looks like fun, but not at my age! ;)! Spring is coming, God willing, and patience is a virtue. We should be so full of patience here in the North East that we could give it away to others who don't have any! Ya think? NOT! Just as impatient as the next person, but working on it. Blessings, Carol

Good Morning Tom,
I knew Pittsford was, but I didn't know Fairport was too. Thanks for telling us.

Good Morning Doreen,

Glad you liked them. Now that I really look at it, they are all girls.

Good Morning Carol,

I couldn't think of the name of it sculling sounds right. Even in shape, which I'm not, I still wouldn't be good at it as I am not co-ordinated. Spring will be here - it just takes a while. There are some people that really like this snow weather. I am not one of them.

Blessings to you and yours,
Marilyn
