GOD'S SQUIRREL CREATURES

Between our apartment buildings are our bird feeders.  The fellow that lives across from me started it and takes care of it.  He has since he moved in a few years ago.  We all do contribute.  This one squirrel knows hardly any fear of us.  She will walk right on my slab outside my door.  She also climbs up and sits on the bird feeder to eat as seen in picture one.  In the second picture she has gone inside the bird feeder.  Third picture, she is back out again.  Picture four she is on the ground and looks like she is telling me something.  Her tummy full, she takes a nap, in the trees,  as seen in picture five. Last picture she is staring into the camera.  I hope you enjoy these because I take a lot of squirrel pictures, but I haven't put them on here.

Great shot of Mr. Squirrel or is it a Mrs. or Ms. Tom The Backroads Traveller

Good Morning Tom,
It is Mrs. Squirrel. She has some smaller squirrels that follow her around sometimes.

Good Morning Vickie,
She sure does have a good thing going for her with the bird feeder. She is the only squirrel that goes in it.

So pretty! I love tree squirrels and their fluffy tails. We only have brown ground squirrels around my house and they are considered pests. They dig around the pump house and the garage, causing a lot of damage. They tipped our pressure tank once!

Good Morning Angela,
Glad you like the pictures. I guess these are considered pests by some too. They haven't dug around our place. We have a forest behind us so I think that is where they come from. They eat and run into the forest.

I love these pictures!

I never appreciated squirrels until I started commuting to work by foot (it was only a mile). Part of my route was through the woods, and of course there were squirrels everywhere. I've seen them all of my life, but watching them on a daily basis gave me a new appreciation of their amazing acrobatic ability. If cats have 9 lives, squirrels must have 81 lives.

Good Morning Stacy,
So glad you love the pictures.

I never really paid any attention to them until I moved here. They do have an amazing acrobatic ability. They must have a lot of lives. Pierre tries to catch them. He wouldn't know what to do if he got hear one.

Man, is the snow coming down. It wasn't snowing this morning so I went to get some extras to stock up. Then I went to a local restaurant for breakfast. It wasn't snowing when I went in to eat. When I came out, my car was buried in snow. So I made it home and here I stay for a while. Believe I have everything, if I don't I can walk to the Family Dollar store. I'm not driving again until this is over.

Started snowing last evening, continued until 9:30 this morn as we drove to church. We've been in a lull since then, but it'll start up again soon enough. Heaviest snow yet to come if the weather people are correct.
Squirrels are fun to watch- operative word being "watch". They are wild animals and can be happily observed from a distance. Their acrobatic feats are a marvelous gift form the Lord. They are as He chose to create them. One can't help but laugh at their antics!
Glad you got home safely, Marilyn, and that you were able to accomplish your "to do"list for today. You+Pierre stay warm+dry. Blessings, Carol

Hi Carol,
Well, it is coming to you. It's coming down pretty good here. Suppose to be worse. I am just glad the Lord got me home safe and sound. It's suppose to go until Tuesday here. Squirrel's are God's Creatures as Jean says, so I put it on here. You and your family stay warm and dry, too, Blessings to you and yours, Marilyn

4pm and it's finally started up again, though lightly and somewhat "side ways" for the moment. Warning goes to 6am Tues for here. God is good, He knows what He's doing being the one and only Creator+Sustainer of all creation. Blessed be the name of the Lord! Carol
