OLD ONE ROOM SCHOOL HOUSES, NEWARK. NEW YORK

Saw these while out taking pictures.  The bottom two pictures shows the school, if I every got the money, I would like to turn into a house.  For some reason I love that school and the location.

Good morning, Marilyn. Great pictures. Our town has a Carnegie library that was built 1907-1908. The brickwork with the stone on the edge reminds me of our building. It is a historical museum now.

Good Morning, love to see one room schoolhouses. I would also love to see that turned into a home. At the corner of my street is one of the one room schoolhouses that was in Webster and it has been turned into a home. It is painted a lovely yellow. Have a wonderful day, isn't the sunshine lovely, hope it sticks around all day. Cathy in Webster

The cobblestone school house was for sale a couple of years ago. The brick one is very nice, Were is it? Tom The Backroads Traveller

Hi Cathy,
WE have at lest one in our town that has been converted into a house. I also dated a guy whose Mother had bought an old school house and converted into a house. I really liked it. Hope you have a wonderful day, too. Today is the first day of Spring.

Hi Tom,
It is on, I think Parker Road off of Hydesville Road. On the corner is where the museum for the Spiritualism religion is. Turn there and it is just as you come around the corner.

Very nice. What great idea that is too Marilyn. If you come across more old schoolhouses, I would love to see them. :)

Hi Vickie,
I will take pictures of more schoolhouses when I see them. A while back I had some others on. Sometimes I just come across them. Glad you liked these.

Hi, Can't remember where this converted one room school house is located, but I was acquainted with the people who had converted it into a bakery shop/store on the 1st floor and lived upstairs. I don't know if it is still in business either, but I do believe it's called Grammy's Pantry.
In the teens here, sunny, and the snow has been slowly melting. Blessings, Carol

Hi Carol,
That sounds nice to live in part of it and have a bakery in it, too. Weather is the same here. Today is the first day of spring - at least on the calendar.

I made a mistake. The first day of spring isn't until tomorrow. Sorry about that.
