MAIL BOXES IN THE COUNTRY AND IN THE VILLAGE

We have farms, houses, barns - so I have to think of something different to put on every now and again.  This time I came up with mail boxes.  The top six were out in the country.  The bottom four are from in the village.  My favorite is number five the John Deere one.  The sixth picture I took because it looked like a safe.  Also really like the sign that is on the door in photo nine.  Well, I hope you enjoy these.  Do you have a different mail box from most of the people you would like to share on here?  How about a neighbor or friend?  Let me know on lincolnlady1121@yahoo.com and we will put it on here.

I've enjoyed collecting mail box photos over the years. Some are quite creative. Tom The Backroads Traveller

Good morning, Marilyn. So much fun! We have a neighborhood box, so nothing special. Many years ago, our neighbor had a plastic duck by their front gate and would dress it for the seasons. Very cute and they were pretty creative. The summer bikini was adorable! LOL

One time we had a really cute mailbox that was a rustic wooden barn with a shingled roof. Shortly after we put it up, during the night we heard a large ka-boom, and went out to find our new mailbox blown up in pieces. While we were shopping for a new mailbox we were advised to never buy a cute wooden one because teenagers can't resist putting an m80 (or what ever those huge firecrackers are) and watching it blow up. So we replaced it with the cheap metal version and never had any more problems.

It's nice to see other peoples unique mailboxes.

Good Morning Angela,
Now the bikini one, I would have liked to see. There are a lot of different ones around here.

Good Morning Doreen,
That's terrible that kids would do something like that. Can't put anything up anymore.

Hi Folks,
It is windy right now, but it suppose to get up to 60 miles an hour later today. If we lose our power, obviously, I won't be here. Well, I may be here but no contact. I have a post on for tomorrow. Just wanted to tell - just in case.
