I know today is my day off, but I have a few things to say. First of all today marks Jean's fourth year with Amish Stories and New York State of Mind. I know she doesn't want me to make a big deal of it, but I think we should all know. Also, I appreciate all she has done for us the last four years. She not all gave us posts, but got Grandmother Olive, Martha, Elmer, Anna and more to put on posts. Jean has told us the good times and the not so good times in her life and family. So, as small as it seams, I thank Jean for all she has done and will do.
Also on July 8th, Elmer and Anna will be with us two years. It hardly seams that they have been with us that long and yet, sometimes, it seams like they have always been with us. I also, want to thank them for all they have done and do for us.
For the next couple of weeks, I am going to change New York State of Mind around. Let me know if you like it or not. On Monday will be Elmer. Tuesday will be pictures. Wednesday will be recipe. Thursday pictures. Friday Anna or Jean or someone will do that post. Saturday will be pictures. Someone gave me the idea of changing the Elmer and Anna (or Jean) post from being back to back. In talking with Elmer, Anna, and Jean, they like that idea better. So we are going to give it a try for a couple of weeks and see what you think.
Next Sunday, I will have a post on for Mother's Day.

Marilyn, Marilyn. Since you have decided to take Sundays off, you have not taken one off!!!
I am so glad Jean decided to continue. I read her posts back with Richard. I appreciate all of you!
Good
Morning Vickie,
You are right. I haven't taken one completely off yet. Will also see that Jean gets your message.

Marilyn, Marilyn, Marilyn . . . I echo what Vickie said! :) I guess the concept of taking a day off is hard! :)
Happy blogging birthday to Jean! And a great big thank you for all the stories and recipes she gifts us with!
However you want to organize your blog . . . we'll be happy! We love all the great stories that everyone works so hard to bring us!
Now, go pet Pierre, put your feet up and take the day off! :)
I hope that you enjoy your day off! Tom The Backroads Traveller
Hi Folks,
I did what I was told and took the rest of the day off. Went out to lunch with my friends. Then came home and took a nap. After that I went over to my friend's house for a steak dinner. The first in ages. Also, I walked Pierre several times.
I will see that Jean gets your messages.

I'm trying to get caught up here today. I think your plan of mixing the posts sounds really good. You need to take your day off and hopefully soon, you will take the FULL day off! Glad you did some this past Sunday. Sounds like a good time with friends, Pierre and a nap. I also read Jean back on Richards blog and so thankful to have all of you here. It is like having family, we haven't met in person. But, so enjoy each of you. God's blessings on you all.
Hi dynnamae n,
The idea came from another person who is a regular on here and I spoke with Elmer, Anna, and Jean, so we are trying it. So opinions are important. I will try to take a FULL day off. I remember you have been with us a long time as some others. I am so glad you all stayed. Will see they get your message.
God Blessings to you and yours,
Marilyn
Good morning, Marilyn. I'm catching up, too. I love your blog and check each day when I'm home. I enjoy everyone's posts so much and have learned a lot. Thank you! Whatever format you use, I will read it! LOL
I don't comment much, but I always thoroughly enjoy reading your blog. Everyone's stories are so interesting and give someone on the other side of the world a great insight into your lives, traditions, customs etc. No matter how you arrange your blog, I will continue to enjoy each and every post......thankyou so much all of you for sharing your world....
