When I got to Elmer's house on Friday, this is where he directed me to. He had permission from Bishop Eli and Bishop Joseph for me to take pictures as long as I didn't have pictures where their faces would show - you could identify someone. So after all the pictures were taken, Elmer, Anna and myself, went thought all the pictures on the camera. Some of the men building here are Amish, some are Old Order Mennonite. The people I know that helped are Elmer and Anna's son, John, Jean's sons Michael and Thomas. What surprised me is the machine here that is helping them. Elmer said, as long as the person driving the machine is not Amish or Old Order Mennonite, they can use them. Hope you enjoy the pictures of the barn raising.

It is a big barn. There were about 8 of them working on it. I don't know when they finished it because when I went by it on Sunday, it still needed some work done. I have a lot more pictures of the horses. They will probably be another post, sometime.
I took pictures of them working on the barn when I first got there. Then we would go taking pictures of other things and come back, where I would take more pictures. Off, we would go taking pictures of other places and come back to take more barn pictures.
