CANAL TOWN DAYS HORSE PARADE, PALMYRA, NEW YORK

I missed the large parade the day before, but I did make the Horse Parade on Sunday.  This time we had a few more carriages than we did last year.  Hope you enjoy the Horse Parade.

Good morning, Marilyn. Very nice pictures. We have Pioneer Days in my town...lots of horses, antique farm equipment, and then there is a free chili bean feed in the park. When I was growing up, most businesses in town would close down for the day, including gas stations, grocery stores, and the post office. The motto was "leave your pocketbook at home". It's not the same now, but still fun for the kids.

Good Morning Angela,
Your Pioneer Days sounds like something I would like to see. I liked when the stores were closed on Sunday. On the other hand, having been a former store owner, during our Canal Town Days, I made the most money. People would see Canal Town Days and stop in the stores.
