GRIST MILL - MUD MILLS. NY

This Grist Mill was built in 1804 and is located along the Ganargua Creek.  Locals call Ganargua Creek - Muddy Waters.  This Grist Mill remained in operation until 1969.  It is believed that this Mill is the last in Wayne County with the mechanics still intact.  Grist Mill is on private property and is not open to the public.

Great pictures yesterday and today. I've never heard of Mud Mills until just now.

Good Morning Vickie,
Thank you. It is that old and still there. I wonder if someone hasn't turned part of it into a house and is living in it.

Thanks for this Marilyn. I never tire of looking at the old. There are so many abandoned structures all over, it seems a real shame.

Hi Jocelyn ,
I love old buildings too. Wish they could talk and tell us their history. It does seem a shame to see them falling down.
