AFRICAN VIOLET SHOW

African Violet show was held in a convalescent nursing home.  Many of the African Violets you see were grown by the senior citizens.  The rest were by the African Violet and Gesneriad Society of Rochester.  Some of these African Violets look different from the ones you usually see, but they are "relatives".  In picture 4 & 5 are African Violets in a glass jar.  One picture shows the glass jar and the other gives a closer view of the inside.  These are just the beginning of the pictures I have to put on here.  Maybe I will put a post on a week until we get them all on.

Good Morning Jodie,
I agree, they are beautiful especially the second one. So sorry you tired of taking care of them. I really haven't done too much to mine - so far.

These are so nice, thanks for sharing them with us. I wonder if some of us could email you a photo of our own violets to post here? Just an idea, okay if too much trouble.

Oh my, how lovely! I had to do a double take on some of those - I wasn't sure if they were smaller fuchsias or even morning glories! Can't wait to see more of them!

I love all these photos. I had African Violets for a good number of years and so enjoyed them. It has been a long time since then and not part of my life now. I would greatly enjoy the show and glad you went and took photos to share. Thank you.
