JEAN'S HOT DOG CASSEROLE

JEAN'S HOT DOG CASSEROLE

1 16 oz Red Kidney Beans, drained
1 16 oz Lima Beans, drained
1/2 Cup (4 oz) spaghetti sauce
1 small onion chopped
1 Cup or 4 oz cheddar cheese, shredded
4 - 6 hot dogs

Mix all except hot dogs in ungreased 1 1/2 qt. casserole.
Arrange hot dogs on top and take 30 - 40 minutes at 375 degrees until mixture is bubbly and hot dogs are brown.

4 - 6 servings

NOTE: Great Northern Beans, White Kidney Beans or Pinto beans may be used instead of Red Kidneys.  Fresh grown beans may be used instead of canned.

Looks yummy! And nice and easy for a busy day. Are the canned limas baked limas? I wouldn't think that they're the green limas, but just not sure.

Good morning Mary,
I had to call Jean with that question. Jean said that you can use either the baked lima beans or the green lima beans as they are baked in the oven with the other ingredients. Jean had to go see which she had in her pantry and said in her pantry are the baked lima beans. It is nice and easy for a busy day.
