On April 29, 2016, I had a post of outside pictures of the Marbletown One Room School House. I left my name and phone number with a lady across the street asking her to please call me when the school was opened for viewing. Last Saturday was the day. She called me in the afternoon and I drove to the school. First picture is the school. Second and third pictures were the entrance. Picture four was the back to the front. Picture five is from the front to the back. The heater in the back it a wood heater. The 48 star flag is next. Next are a book and chalk board students had. Dunce corner is next. Next is a picture of the one room school houses that use to be in Arcadia. There about three of those schools still standing - this one being the only open to the public. Next is a quilt made by the Ladies of Arcadia. Next a desk in the front. The next room is the girls coat room. There is a ladies coat room and a boys coat room. The girls is the only one that is completely restored. Next is the school library room. Next to the chair is the wood that is used in the heater. They have pictures of all the presidents during the time the school was used. Last are the chalk boards on the side of the room walls. They had chalk boards in the front and on the side of the school. There is another post of this school - tomorrow.
