DAMAGE OF SATURDAY STORM

Saturday we had a rain and wind storm for about a half hour.  The first two pictures are of a barn that collapsed.  There were no animals in it.  The lady said she had some furniture in it.  Pictures three and four are of a tree that fell in someone's yard.  The last two pictures are of limbs that fell.

This is kind of a mixed up week.  Elmer and Anna are on a trip to Pennsylvania.  It is also fair week here.  I have entered some jewelry I made and tomorrow I am entering two of my African Violets.  Hope something wins something.

Last weekend was Pirate's Weekend but I stayed home - it was too hot.  Was going to enter Pierre in the dog parade, but I felt 95 degrees was too hot to dress him up for that, so we stayed home. Maybe next year.

The storm did damage, but brought much needed rain!

Good Morning Tom,
It sure did damage, but like you said, it brought much needed rain.

Good luck on your jewelry and plants. Hope you win.
We had storms here also but no damage, that I know of.

Good Morning Jodie,
Thank you for the good luck. I hope I get something on at least one of them. Glad you didn't get damage your way.

Wishing you lots of luck with your fair entries. And maybe Anna and Elmer are somewhere near here - maybe I'll see them at Shady Maple this week. Just kidding.
I am so glad that there were no animals in that barn!

I think you made a very wise choice not entering Pierre in a costume contest in the high heat Marilyn. Next year. ;)

Good Morning Mary,
In a way I felt bad leaving my African Violets at the fair. Watered them, took care of them - even called Violet Barn for advice. I miss them, but I still have one here. That will, I hope, show next year. I don't exactly knnow where Elmer and Anna are, so you might run into them. I am glad there were no animals in that barn, too.

Good Morning Vickie,
No parade was worth risking Pierre's health. There will be another parade next year.

Hugs to Mable, Henry and Murphy,
Marilyn and Pierre

Yes, there were some heavy storms rolling through many places. Glad your area didn't have majorly serious damage or any injuries. Weather people said it would be a HOT summer, and so it has been. From what I've heard re the Fall, it seems the NE will be warmer than usual, too.
Have a nice time at your area's Fair. Blessings, Carol

Good choice staying home with Pierre in the heat. If you want, you could dress him up to take pictures and post on here. That way he'll still be oohed and aahed for his cuteness.

Hi Carol,
I am glad no one was hurt or we had major damage. The barn and the tree were the worse. I remember one year it was in the 80's in October. Of course, I also remember it sowing in October. I plan on having a nice time at the fair although it is suppose to rain tomorrow and Wednesday.

Blessings to you and yours,
Marilyn

Hi Lily,
Pierre gets groomed tomorrow, so I might just do that. He hasn't been on the computer in a while. He doesn't like me dressing him up, but tolerates me.
