JEAN'S OVERNIGHT COFFEE CAKE

JEAN'S OVERNIGHT COFFEE CAKE

2 cups flour
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 tsp soda
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp cinnamon
1 cup buttermilk
2/3 cup baking oil
2 eggs

Blend all cake ingredients until moisted and beat for 3 minutes.  Pour into prepared 9 X 13 inch pan.

TOPPING

1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup chopped nuts
1 tsp cinnamon

In a small bowl, blend topping ingredients and sprinkle over cake batter.  Cover and refrigerate overnight,  Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 30 to 40 minutes.  Serve warm.

Good evening Marilyn. I love the cobblestone building in your town. Jean's coffee cake sounds yummy but ate too much with company this past weekend! Really enjoyed your first farm of 2017 and their horses. I hope you are having some of the January thaw that MI has going on. Making room for more snow. Hugs to you and Pierre.
